The Transformation Rules help you automatically clean, organize and prepare your data. You can create your own prompt or use AI-suggested rules—no coding required. In just minutes, you get standardized, ready-to-use data. This feature gives you a fast and easy way to fix, format, and standardize your data without waiting for a developer.

Types

Type What It Does Example
Standard Transformation Follows simple rules you give it to change your data. The results are predictable and consistent. Add “£” to all price fields, remove empty rows, rename columns.
Generative Transformation Uses AI to understand your instructions and smartly transform your data. The results are flexible and context-aware. Convert product descriptions into short titles, standardize addresses, summarize customer feedback.

Managing Transformation Rules

You can access and manage all your applied rules in the Transformation Rules section of the platform. This section allows you to:

  • View all rules: See a list of active and inactive rules.

  • Check selected data: Review the columns and pages used in each rule.

  • Activate or deactivate rules: Turn rules on or off based on your project needs.

  • Edit rules: Update existing rules to refine their logic.

  • Delete rules: Remove rules that are no longer needed.

By managing your Transformation Rules, you ensure your data stays accurate, consistent, and aligned with business goals. You have the flexibility to fully control your rules manually or leverage AI suggestions for smarter transformations.

Transformation Rule Steps

Standard Transformation

  • Step 1: Navigate to Datasets and select your desired run.
  • Step 2: On the Data Preview page, click the Transform button.
  • Step 3: In the Transformation section, choose your Run time, Page, and Column to transform.
  • Step 4: Enter your own prompt or let the AI generate rules for you.
  • Step 5: Save, test, or discard the rule.
  • Step 6: After saving, choose Transform and Export in CSV or XLSX format.
  • Step 7: Manage rules on the Transformation page—view details, toggle Active/Inactive, or Edit/Delete as needed.
