Collaboration

Collaboration is key to making sure that your data and quality requirements are easily communicated and understood, that your internal team has visibility into progress and the right stakeholders are engaged and kept in the loop. Grepsr’s data management platform makes it super easy for remote teams to collaborate on their data projects in real time.

Messaging

  • Messaging enables teams to exchange requirements, share updates, and send files through a dedicated messaging channel.
  • Teams can add project collaborators and manage their access levels, maintaining control over visibility and access.
  • Each project has a dedicated and private communication channel, accessible only to project collaborators and team managers.
  • Messaging ensures that crawlers are built according to specifications, and change requests and updates are promptly communicated.
  • The messaging channel for a project is located under the Collaboration section in the secondary menu.
  • All messages and files exchanged in the project are centralized in this space, making it easy to refer back to earlier conversations.
  • Having access to all historical conversations in one place is effective for onboarding and ramping up newcomers to the project.
  • For larger accounts with multiple projects, there is a consolidated view that allows users to search and jump between projects and their respective conversations.

Posting a new message

You can compose detailed messages and upload attachments to supplement the text context. You can view all the attachments in the project.

Supported attachments while adding a note

  • Documents
  • PDFs
  • Images
  • Videos
Is there any limitation related to the attachments?
  • There is no hard limit to the number of attachments per message, but each attachment cannot exceed 10 MB, and the total size of attachments per message cannot exceed 100 MB. All file types are supported as attachments with no restrictions.

Replying to messages from email

  1. Each new message posted in the project thread triggers an email notification to all project collaborators.
  2. The email contains a link to the project, allowing recipients to respond directly through the app.
  3. The project link is available in the email header.
  4. Email recipients can respond directly from their inbox.
  5. Responding to the email appends the message to the project thread and notifies the rest of the team.
  6. The ability to respond from a convenient location simplifies the messaging experience, especially for those on-the-go who want to respond from mobile devices.

Attachments

The Attachments section under Messages contains a gallery of all attachments uploaded to the project. The most recent attachments are displayed at the top, followed by older ones. Attachments can be downloaded by clicking the Download icon in the bottom-right corner of the attachment box. The search box in the Attachments section allows users to search for files using keywords. Users can search by file name or file extension.

Old Messages

Old messages are only available for old projects. The purpose of storing these messages is to maintain a record of past communication, ensuring easy access to project history and updates. This helps teams stay informed and manage ongoing work more effectively.
